Goriuda Fountain
The roar of the water, the surrounding forest and the light filtered by the trees make this the perfect place to learn how to manage long exposures, ND filters and intimate compositions.
* Upon request, it is possible to leave with us on Friday, adding a day to the workshop.
Two days immersed in nature in a little-known area of Italy: among the rocks of Carnia we will explore waterfalls and lakes where at times it will seem like we are in Canada.
There are places that make no noise. You don't find them among the most photographed destinations in Italy and they rarely appear on must-see lists. Yet, when you get there, you wonder how you could have ignored them for so long.
Friuli Venezia Giulia is home to some of the most authentic landscapes in the Alps: springs that flow directly from the rocks, lakes with transparent water, woods that turn gold in autumn and mountains that seem to protect these places from time.
Here, water is the absolute protagonist: it rises from the mountains, flows through gorges and forests, fills alpine lakes with incredible colors and creates scenarios that change completely with the variations in light. October is probably the most fascinating time to experience them: the days are getting softer, the woods are starting to transform and the first shades of autumn add depth and character to every photograph.
For two days, we'll immerse ourselves in this territory at the pace of photographers. We'll wait for the right light, study the best compositions, and learn to transform every scene into an image capable of conveying an emotion. It won't be a race from one location to another: it will be a journey built around light.
Each stage of the workshop has been chosen to offer you something different: from water photography to wider landscapes, passing through details, reflections and plays of light (as well as surprise secret spots in the field!).
The roar of the water, the surrounding forest and the light filtered by the trees make this the perfect place to learn how to manage long exposures, ND filters and intimate compositions.
The emerald waters, forests and mountains reflected on the surface offer endless photographic possibilities, from wide angles to compressed details with longer focal lengths.
The Zelenci Springs are one of the most iconic places in the entire Alpine region. To preserve the element of surprise, this image only suggests its colors and atmosphere: the real landscape awaits you on the field.
During the workshop we will work together on everything needed to create effective landscape photographs:
